Gulai Buncis

* 350g string bean, cut diagonally
* 250g potato, cube into 1cm in size
* 250g beef meat for stew, cube into 1cm
* 350cc coconut milk
* 1 salam leaf
* 1 lemon grass
* 1 galangal
* 3 tbs oil
Mix spice
* 3 candlenuts
* 1/2 tsp turmelic, ground
* 1 tsp ginger, ground
* 1 tsp pepper corn
* 5 shallots
* 2 cloves garlic
* salt


1 Grind all the mix spice ingredients in the blender.
2 Heat the oil in a frying pan, fry string bean until softened and
drain on the kitchen paper. Add the oil, fry potatoes until half-
cooked, drain on the kitchen paper.
3 Heat the new oil in the frying pan, fry the ground spice, salam
leaf, lemon grass, galangal until fragrant, add beef meat and coconut
milk, bring to boil then reduce heat.
4 Add string bean and potatoes and simmer until well-cooked
